Students wear virtual reality headsets in classrooms as part of a career exploration activity led by the Educational Service Center, engaging in interactive simulations across various industries

The ESC of Eastern Ohio Career Counseling Dept. brought the future into the 6th grade classrooms with an exciting new way to explore careers... through the Oculus virtual reality headsets. Students recently had the opportunity to step into the shoes of professionals from a wide variety of fields—all without ever leaving their classroom.

Congratulations to fifth grade student Kathryn N. on memorizing 250 digits of PI in the annual Poland Middle School Pi Day Competition! WOW!! Kathryn secured the new school record with this amazing performance. Mrs. Martin's students opened up the competition with a little song, and then the digits were rattled off from memory. An all-around great day for our fifth-grade class.

Flyer for the inaugural "Walk for Our Future" event by the Poland Schools Foundation, scheduled for May 23, 2025, with a rain date of May 27. The fundraiser supports auditorium improvements, including new seating, lighting, paint, carpet, and signage. Participants include 2nd-6th grade students. A QR code is provided for donations.

The Poland Schools Foundation is excited to announce the Inaugural “Walk for Our Future”! Students in grades 2-6 will embark on a walk through our village to raise money for scholarships, teacher mini-grants and the Poland Seminary Auditorium Joint Project. The auditorium is used by every single student in the district and we are dedicated to improving that space! The Math 24 team from Poland Middle School represented Poland Local Schools in two Math 24 competitions this year. At the Canfield matchups on March 6, fifth grade student Katarina Falasca placed in the Top 16! Congratulations to our Bulldogs on their successful performances, speedy calculations, and teamwork.

Other students earning awards include: Alexander Thomas - 3rd Place, Charlotte Gentile - 3rd Place, Briella Hawthorne - 2nd Place, Evan McCrea, Grade 5 - 3rd Place. Congratulations to our young artists and their teacher, Mrs. DiMuzio!

Sparky from the Youngstown Phantoms invited fourth grade students to the School Day Game! For their PBIS reward, the Bulldogs enjoyed a morning cheering on the home team. Even better, the PSHS Marching Band was the house band for the day, playing on timeouts and at intermission. Our eighth grade students sat in right along with our high school musicians. Go Phantoms and Bulldogs!
